On the farm I grew up on, nobody called a repairman. You fixed it yourself, and you did it right the first time because you didn't want to do it twice. I carried that onto other contractors' insulation crews, where I learned the trade, and in 2020 I started Professional Chico Spray Foam Insulation as an insulation contractor here in Chico so I could run every job that way.
Most people call us about a drafty room, a hot upstairs, a power bill that keeps climbing or an older house they aren't sure about. We've become known for careful attic and crawl space work where nothing gets skipped, because the spots nobody looks at, like the gaps around can lights, the edges over the outside walls and the eave vents, are usually where an insulation job goes wrong.
What I care about most is doing things in the right order. New insulation over damp wood, old wiring or a problem with a gas appliance just hides it, so we look for those first and tell you before we start, not halfway through. If your house needs another trade first, I'd rather tell you and wait than install over it.
