Agreeing to these terms
These terms apply when you use this website or hire Professional Chico Spray Foam Insulation for work at your house or building. By using the site, asking for a quote or booking a job, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book work with us.
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Professional Chico Spray Foam Insulation, and "you" means the person using the site or hiring us.
What we do
We're an insulation contractor in Chico, CA, and we work in Chico and the cities around it. Our work includes attic, wall and crawl space insulation, blown-in and spray foam insulation, air sealing, vapor barriers and insulation removal for homes and commercial buildings. You'll find the full list on our home page, and more about who we are on our about page.
What the site says about our services is general. Your written quote or agreement lists the exact work for your job. If it differs from anything on the site, the written quote or agreement is what counts.
Quotes and pricing
Quotes are free, we give them on site, and you're under no obligation to accept one. Each quote is based on what we can see and measure during the visit. It covers only the work it describes.
Some problems only show up once the work is open, such as old insulation that's wet or full of droppings, hidden damage, or gaps we couldn't reach on the visit. If we find something like that, we'll stop, show you, and agree any change in work and price with you before we go further.
If your quote doesn't say how long its price holds, ask us to confirm it before you book, because material costs can change.
Scheduling, access and cancellation
We set your start date with you once you accept the quote. Weather, material deliveries, access to the attic or crawl space, and earlier jobs that run long can move that date. If that happens, we'll tell you as soon as we know and set a new one.
You agree to give our crew safe, clear access to the work areas on the scheduled day. Some work, especially spray foam, means you, your kids and your pets will need to stay out of the house for a set time. We'll tell you before the job how long that is and when it's safe to come back inside, and you agree to follow those instructions.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us at (530) 399-1513 as early as you can. If we've already ordered materials for your job, you may owe their cost, as your written agreement states.
Payment
Your quote or agreement spells out the payment terms, including any deposit and when the balance is due. Unless it says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is finished.
If a payment is late, we may pause work or hold off on scheduling more work until the account is paid. Where California law allows, you'll also be responsible for reasonable costs of collecting the unpaid amount.
Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover
We stand behind our work, and satisfaction is guaranteed on every job. If something about our work isn't right, call us and we'll come back and take a look.
Insulation products carry their maker's own warranty, and those terms come from the maker, not from us. Our guarantee doesn't cover problems caused by roof or plumbing leaks, pests, work by other trades, or changes made to the area after we finish.
Beyond your written agreement, our guarantee and any maker's warranty, we provide our work and this website as they are, to the extent California law allows. We don't promise a set drop in your power bill or a set temperature in any room. Those also depend on your heating and cooling equipment, ductwork, windows and how you use the house.
Limits on our liability
We're licensed and insured. To the extent California law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost use of a room or higher energy costs. Our total liability for any job won't be more than what you paid us for that job.
These terms don't limit any liability that California law doesn't allow us to limit.
The information on this site is general guidance about insulation, not advice about your particular house. Talk with us before you rely on it for a decision.
If there's a problem
If you have a concern about our work or a bill, call us or reach us through our contact page first. Most issues get sorted out quickly once we're back on site and can see what's going on.
If we can't settle it between us, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before either of us goes to court. Unless the law requires otherwise, any lawsuit will be filed in the courts serving Butte County, California.
Which law applies
The laws of the State of California govern these terms and any work we do for you, without regard to its rules on conflicts of law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted here when you book a job applies to that job. If you keep using the site after we post a change, you accept the updated terms.
If you have questions about these terms, call (530) 399-1513, Mon–Sun, 8 AM–9 PM, and we'll walk you through them.
